CHAMPIONS Fulford 'A' began the defence of their York Conservative Clubs Snooker League crown with a 4-3 win over Bootham 'B'.
Dave Sattaur compiled a break of 31 in his win while there were victories too for Cameron Fennell, Joe Kimbling and Dave Reed.
Bootham replies came from Paul Scorfield, Matt Smith and Paul Powell.
Other good breaks on the opening fortnight came from Kevin Gall in Heworth 'A's 4-3 victory over Acomb 'A' - Heworth taking the last two frames to nick it through Steve Burdett and Mark Hodson.
Fulford 'B' beat both Malton and a depleted Bootham 'A' 5-2
Stuart Martel bagged a consolation for Bootham when coming from 30 points down and by the last three colours to win.
Heworth 'A' beat their depleted 'B' team 6-1, L Pullen shining with a 46 break.
Acomb 'B' won 4-3 at Malton after taking the first four frames.
Acomb 'A' came from two fames down to beat Bootham 'B' 4-3.
