A car in the middle of the A59 following the crash
THREE vehicles crashed on a main road near York this morning, causing rush hour delays.
North Yorkshire Police was called to the collision on the A59 near Moor Monkton at about 8.30am.
The cars involved were a silver Vauxhall, a white Volkswagen and a black Mercedes, the force said.
It added that the road was closed for a short time so the vehicles could be recovered and the scene was cleared by 10am.
The force confirmed there were no injuries.
The crash affected traffic between Kirk Hammerton and York.
