SEVEN lucky York neighbours are celebrating after scooping £1,000 each in a lottery draw.
Residents of Jute Road were named winners of the People's Postcode Lottery daily prize today, after their postcode YO26 5EW was drawn.
Judie McCourt from the organisation congratulated the winners and said: “I’m thrilled for our winners today in York. What a great start to the week – well done to them all. I’m sure they’ll have a grand time splashing out with their windfall. Make sure you’re playing and we could be visiting your postcode next.”
At least 32 per cent of ticket sales go to charities, with players of People's Postcode Lottery raising £340 million to date for organisations including York Inspirational Kids, which was awarded £1,500 last year to support families with disabled children.
