A MAN died after being hit by a van on a North Yorkshire road.
North Yorkshire Police were called by paramedics to a crash between a van and a pedestrian at about 4am on Sunday, to the B6265 at Marton cum Grafton, between Green Hammerton and Boroughbridge.
The man, aged in his thirties, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed to allow the Collision Investigation Unit conduct a full and thorough investigation of the scene, and was set to remain closed throughout much on Sunday. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
Anyone who was travelling on the B6265 in the early hours of Sunday, or who has information which could help police should phone 101 quoting reference NYP-23092018-0089.
