ARMED robbers wielding an axe and a machete threatened staff and a customer at a convenience store.
Two men wearing balaclavas entered the Sainsbury's Local in Crossley Street, Wetherby, at 11.46pm on Thursday, September 20.
They stole cash from a till and cigarettes from the display before running away.
Detective Inspector Dave McDougal, of West Yorkshire Police, said nobody was injured, but the victims were left shaken.
He said: "We are carrying out extensive enquiries to identify and trace the people responsible and we would like to hear from anyone who was in the area and witnessed anything suspicious or who has any other information that could assist the investigation."
