A PAMPER party held in Bishopthorpe has helped to raise more than £200 for the Marie Curie charity.

The party was staged by Marie Curie volunteer Jo Leatham at her home in the village, and run by Charlotte Watson, consultant and team leader for Neal’s Yard, which sells organic natural health and beauty products. Charlotte provided an introduction to the world of aromatherapy and how essential oils can be used around the home and demonstrated an organic facial. There were lots of organic products to try as well as Christmas gift ideas and the opportunity to purchase from the Neal’s Yard autumn winter 2018 catalogue.

In addition, a raffle was held, with prizes provided by Charlotte, including £200 worth of free shopping at Neal’s Yard, two £30 facials at the Beauty Room and an organic bath and shower gel gift pack.

A total of 25 people attended the event.

Jo said: “It was great to see so many people turn out in force and dig deep to support Marie Curie.”
