MUSH are on tour promoting their new album, Gig Economy, playing The Fulford Arms in York tomorrow night.

"One of our favourite bands to come out of Leeds over the past couple of years, Mush mix elements of punkish-psychedelia, Krautrock and indie rock in the perfect way," says Please Please You gig promoter Joe Coates.

"Like the single Alt Facts before it, Gig Economy combines wry social commentary with spasmodic and idiosyncratic hooks and general guitar wonderment.

"Mush have been causing quite the stir on the DIY scene supporting the likes of Rolling Blackouts, Omni, Ulrika Spacek, Drahla and Parquet Courts and they're ace."

Alt Facts was a favourite of Marc Riley on BBC Radio 6Music and made it on to the Rough Trade yearly compilation too. Now Mush are building on that momentum with Gig Economy, released on Dipped In Gold Recordings on September 14.

Tickets for tomorrow's 7.30pm gig are on sale at £5 in person from The Fulford Arms, Earworm Records in York and Jumbo Records in Leeds or online at pleasepleaseyou.com.
