YORK humorists Any Suggestions Improv are to launch their new Suggestion Box! comedy night in the Micklegate Social, Micklegate, York, next month.

Building on the success of their summer shows at York's Great Yorkshire Fringe and the Edinburgh Fringe with their cult hit Any Suggestions, Doctor?, they will return to home soil on October 26 from 8pm to 10pm, with further nights to follow.

Troupe member (and regular reviewer for The Press) Louise Jones says: "Join our troupe of highly trained improv comics as we play a series of hilarious and ludicrous games based entirely on your suggestions. We'll be making up silly songs, scenes and games akin to the TV favourite Whose Line Is It Anyway?, as well as playing brand new games devised by the troupe."

Alongside comedian, actor and writer Louise in the Any Suggestions Improv line-up are producer Lewis Dunn; director Charles Deane; the voice of Minster FM’s Drivetime Show, Harry Whittaker and Jamworthy comic duo James Gamblin and Matthew Stallworthy, plus musician Alexander Rushfirth.

After all meeting at the University of York Comedy Society, the troupe have since performed at festivals around the country. "We're now ready to set down a recurring night in the centre of York, and we hope to make Suggestion Box! a night that displays the very best in improvised comedy," says Louise. "So come join us in the cellar of Micklegate Social for an evening of hijinks and hilarity, and don’t forget to bring your maddest and weirdest suggestions,"

Tickets cost £3.30 at tickets.ents24.com/ or £5 on the door from 7.30pm.
