LEADING figures in the fish and chip industry will join together at a chippy just outside York for a special event raising awareness around sustainable fishing methods
Miller’s Fish and Chips will hold the event tomorrow at its shop in Haxby.
It will be hosting a number of leading industry bodies and partners from the fish and chip sector, including the Marine Stewardship Council and the National Federation of Fish Friers. The Norwegian Seafood Council will also be in attendance, as well as the Leinebø family from Leinebris Vessel who supply the Norwegian haddock that Miller’s serves to its customers.
Customers visiting Miller’s on the day will be able to tuck into its fish and chips as usual, with the added bonus of being able to learn more about where the food on their plate has come from.
