A YORK-based AA patrol driver has been crowned the top roadside patrol in the country.
Rescue driver George Flinton, 23, won AA Patrol of the Year at a ceremony in London. He will now be a public ambassador for the organisation for the next 12 months.
The judging process involved intensive tests, a panel interview and mock radio interviews.
George said: "I couldn't believe it when my name was read out. I was happy to be shortlisted, but to win is surreal. I'm looking forward to the year ahead."
