RYEDALE is flying the flag for small businesses with a second company named as one of the UK’s top Small Biz 100.
Dog and Hat, which is based in Thornton-le-Clay, is one of the businesses from across the country, which will be celebrated in the 100 days running-up to Small Business Saturday. Kemps General Store in Malton has also been selected to take part in the campaign which aims to celebrate small business success, and encourage the nation to ‘shop local’.
Dog and Hat, run by Sue and Dave Morgan (pictured) is a coffee subscription company which sources speciality coffee and delivers it in recycled packaging.
Sue said: “After we started our family, I wanted the next phase of my life to be devoted to the things I was really passionate about, so I wrote a list. It was just a matter of time before we started a coffee company and ‘Charlie’ the Dog in the Hat was destined to be our logo.”
Liz Kemp, who owns Kemps, said: “We are thrilled.”
