A MAN has been injured during an alleged attack on his car in East Yorkshire.

Humberside Police said the incident occurred at around 4.30pm on Sunday on Main Street, Garton-on-the-Wolds.

It was reported that a man had smashed the windscreen and three windows of a parked yellow Peugeot car with a metal bar while the victim, a 43-year-old man, was sat inside, the force added.

While doing so, it is alleged the suspect also assaulted the victim who sustained small cuts to his forehead and injuries to his arm, the force said.

A spokesman for the force commented: “We think this could be related to an altercation on the same day involving the same victim and suspect that occurred on Eastgate North in Driffield about an hour earlier.”

The suspect has been described as white, approximately 21 to 22 years old, around 5ft 7, slim, with short ginger hair, and wearing a grey tracksuit. It is thought he was riding a twist and go type scooter.
