A BOLLYWOOD action film will be filmed in York this week - and is due to feature a motorbike chase down The Shambles.
Commando 3, which has been described as being a Bollywood version of the Bourne Trilogy, will see motorbike stunts filmed around the city.
They will be filmed chasing along The Shambles and Kings Staith before a bike is seen dramatically crashing into a lorry in Wellington Row.
Commando 3 stars Vidyut Jamwal (pictured in Tweet below), who was recently named one of the world’s top martial artists.

A location organiser said they had hoped to film a bike racing up the steps of Ouse Bridge but had been told that would not be possible by City of York Council due to road works on the bridge.
A number of streets are due to have temporary traffic restrictions between 7am in Wednesday and 7pm on Friday including Chapter House Street, College Street, Kings Staith, North Street, Ogleforth, South Esplanade, The Shambles and Wellington Row.
The latest film follows Commando: A One Man Army and Commando: The Black Money Trail.
The film will be directed by Aditya Datt and filming is already understood to have taken place in Bradford and London.
Jamwal’s character is a commando with the Indian Army who is involved in extensive fight and stunt scenes.
The council has said traffic restrictions will be in place because of the “likelihood of danger arising on the occasion of nearby filming”.
The film is reported to have a planned release date of 2019.
The Indian Express has quoted Jamwal as promising “spectacular action” from the third installment of the franchise.
The actor said he was involved in the choreography of the scenes and had been preparing for the role.
