A TEAM of runners from housebuilder, Barratt Developments Yorkshire East, raised almost £5,000 for its charity of the year, St Leonard’s Hospice, after taking to the streets of York for an annual 10K race.
Eight runners from the York-based housebuilder, which includes the Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes brands, took part in the Asda Foundation York 10K to raise money for the local hospice, in Tadcaster Road. Those who ran were from a range of departments across the business and included Luci Walker, Kathryn Speck, Sam Newman, Fiona Prichard, Philip Wileman, Dan Boyle, James Cross and Shaz Bayat.
Andrew Taylor, Finance Director at Barratt Developments Yorkshire East, said: “We are very proud of all our runners who took part in the York 10K and raised such a fantastic amount. We will continue to support the charity through events like this one throughout the year and look forward to what comes next!”
