A TEENAGE girl was knocked off her bike in York.

North Yorkshire Police said the 15-year-old girl was cycling in Poppleton Road at the junction with Lindsay Avenue at about 7.30pm on Wednesday, September 5, when she was struck by a vehicle.

The police have only just appealed for help identifying the vehicle, which left the girl with minor injuries which did not require hospital treatment.

Anyone who saw the crash or has information which may help police should phone 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111, quoting job 261 of September 6.
