YORK Racecourse turned pink, and brown on Saturday as thousands of women took part in a set of muddy races to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
The Pretty Muddy event saw about 600 youngsters and 2,400 women tackle an obstacle course culminating with a slither down an inflatable slide and into a pool of mud.
