POLICE are continuing to investigate after a woman was allegedly raped in the area surrounding York station.
The British Transport Police (BTP) said the victim, a woman in her 20s, was allegedly assaulted by a man in an alleyway leading to York station on Thursday afternoon.
A cordon was in place near the Europcar entrance on Thursday night but was then moved to an area outside the nearby York Railway Institute sports centre.
A spokeswoman for the BTP said: "The investigation is still ongoing and no arrests have been made."
