GARDENING tools were stolen from a shed in a village near York at the weekend.
North Yorkshire Police said the tools were taken from a shed that was broken into on Beech Avenue, in Bishopthorpe, overnight on Saturday.
The force is asking residents in the village to review their shed and garage security.
A police spokesperson commented: "Please do not hesitate to contact police if you see anything suspicious.
"Please contact your local safer neighbourhood team if you would like a free crime prevention input or any of your tools marked with our property marking machine by emailing snayorkwest@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk".
