THREE people were taken to hospital after a crash between two cars in North Yorkshire which resulted in both vehicles catching fire.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said the collision happened near Gouthwaite Reservoir, near Patelely Bridge, at 10.43am today.
Crews from Ripon and Harrogate used a hose, dry powder extinguishers and foam canisters to extinguish the fire.
"The vehicles contained six passengers, three of which were taken to hospital by road ambulance with non-life threatening injuries," said a spokesman. "The other occupants were given medical assistance on scene by fire crews and ambulance staff."
