A WOMAN has appeared in court after police carried out a drugs warrant at her home.
Jody Jacqueline Edwards, 35, pleaded guilty to possessing seven wraps of heroin.
Julian Tanikal, prosecuting, said police found the drug when they raided her house in Ashton Avenue, Clifton, on February 8.
Edwards was conditionally discharged for six months and ordered to pay a £20 statutory surcharge.
Her solicitor, Cheryl Rudden, told York Magistrates Court she was tackling her heroin addiction with help from a rehabilitation agency.
Edwards was on a methadone prescription which she “has been known to top up” with heroin.
