MALTON’S Castle Garden is holding an open morning tomorrow, Saturday, to showcase work recently carried out.
The event, from 10am to 1pm, will feature Fairtrade and environmentally-friendly goods, plant and book stalls run by volunteers from Norton Hive and the Castle Garden. There will also be books from author Jean Illingworth, a Frack Free Malton and Norton information stall and refreshments.
Castle Garden founder member and secretary Di Keal said: “We received a grant from Ryedale District Council recently which we have used to refurbish and extend the paths in the Castle Garden. This work is now complete and we want local people to come and and look at this and other work carried out in the Garden recently.”
Malton Castle Garden can be accessed from Castlegate and from the main entrance off Orchard Field.
The event is free, but donations are welcome towards the continued maintenance of the garden.
