LET'S Hang On, the first and longest-running tribute to the music of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons is celebrating its tenth anniversary, visiting York Barbican tonight.

The 7.30pm show takes a musical journey through the career of these Rock'n'Roll Hall Of Famers, who started out as four New Jersey boys from the wrong side of the tracks, invented their own sound and sold 175 million records before they turned 30.

Let's Hang On features "all your favourite hits and movie soundtrack songs" from a catalogue spanning over five decades, such as Grease, Stay (from Dirty Dancing), December 1963 (Oh What A Night!), Sherry, Beggin’, Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, Working My Way Back To You, Walk Like A Man, Big Girls Don’t Cry and the title number.

"Prepare to be blown away with breathtaking vocal performances and outstanding musicianship that features an amazing live horn section," says the Barbican blurb.

As for Frankie Valli's verdict? "You guys are dynamite," he said. Tickets are on sale on 0844 854 2757, at yorkbarbican.co.uk or on the door.
