PLANS have been submitted for eye-catching new signs to be installed at the National Railway Museum.
A large fascia sign made from aluminium would be placed on the main entrance off Cinder Lane.
And a hanging sign would be installed on the entrance on Leeman Road.
Both signs would be illuminated.
A festival aimed at inspiring the engineers of the future will take place at the museum during the October half term, from October 27 to November 4.
The event will feature a programme of activities aimed at helping youngsters and their families learn more about engineering.
The venue is running a series of events as part of the government's national Year of Engineering campaign.
