PART of a busy road in York had to be closed due to emergency work to a leaking water main.
The closure on Wigginton Road was between Clifton Moor Gate and Crichton Avenue.
York travel, the official travel feed from City of York Council, tweeted at around 10am today (September 7) to say Wigginton Road had fully reopened.
A spokesman for Yorkshire Water said: “We located a leaking pipe in Wigginton Road.
"We have completed a temporary repair, and have reopened the road, but will need to go back to the site to finish the work.”
