THE extraordinary life of a Yorkshire-born author will be revealed in a presentation at Filey library.
Eric Knight, who penned Lassie Come Home, was born into relative affluence, but descended into poverty after being abandoned as a child. He later emigrated to the US, but his works featured a strong Yorkshire influence.
Malton author Greg Christie, who recently published a book about Knight, will present Knight: Yorkshireman, Storyteller, Spy on Thursday, September 27 at 6pm.
Tickets available at filey.library@northyorks.gov.uk or by phoning 01609 536 608.
