A WOMAN has been taken to hospital suffering from minor injuries after a crash on Tadcaster Road.
The crash, involving a Peugeot 306 and a Vauxhall Astra van, took place near Pulleyn Drive.
The road was closed while firefighters freed a woman in her early 20s from her car and a spokesman for North Yorkshire Fire Service said she was taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
The road remained shut while the vehicles were recovered and debris was cleared from the road. It has since reopened.
