YORK Outer MP Julian Sturdy spend a day "on the beat" with police officers responding to calls.
The Conservative politician joined the city's neighbourhood policing team to find out how they respond to incidents including robberies and anti-social behaviour as well as cyber crime threats.
Mr Sturdy said: "I was able to see a well-organised and hugely passionate team of officers, both those out in our communities as well as based at Fulford Police Station. By spending a day with local police officers, I was able to gain first-hand experience of the challenges they face, which will help me in representing our area in Westminster."
