YORK Open Studios is open for applications from York artists seeking to take part in the 2019 event.

Artists and craftspeople who work in any medium and are at any stage of their career are invited to apply. In particular, the organisers are keen to showcase multi-media artworks, such as installation and digital media, and with this in mind, they have set up a bursary scheme to help those artists create a body of work.

Open Studios chairman Beccy Ridsdel says: "Every year we look forward to seeing the applications come in and we’re always excited by the huge range of work. York has so many talented artists and craftspeople. It’s especially great to see applications from emerging artists and incredibly talented people taking the plunge when they have never even thought of exhibiting their work before."

York Open Studios 2019 will take place over the weekends of April 6 and 7 and April 13 and 14. There is no charge to apply and the deadline for applications is midnight on September 11. Application forms can be found on CuratorSpace at curatorspace.com/opportunities/detail/call-for-artists/2444.
