FIREFIGHTERS say a car fire near York was started deliberately this weekend.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the car fire at about 1.20am on Saturday, in Acaster Malbis.
A spokesman for the fire service said a single crew from York was sent to the scene, and managed to extinguish the fire.
Nobody was hurt, and the spokesman said the cause of the fire was believed to be deliberate.
