TEAM GB rower and Huntington School pupil Lucy Edmunds is off to study at Yale University.
Lucy, who rows for York City Rowing Club, got an A* in history, A in biology and A in maths.
Lucy is looking to study ethics, politics and economics in the US but, due to their system, she won’t actually choose a subject to major in until her second year.
In order to be offered a place at Yale, she had to sit the American SAT tests, which they use for admitting students to university, and she did so well Yale offered her a place back in December based on her SAT results.
She’s not going on a rowing scholarship, but rowing coaches at Yale fully supported her application.
