DISABLED sports enthusiasts have tried out new sports, activities and fun sessions at a York leisure centre.
Celebrating Ability Day at Energise in Acomb was a celebration of sport and physical ability for those who have a disability, are deaf or hard of hearing or have a sensory impairment.
There was a wide range of activity to take part in, including football, cycling, tennis, swimming and powerchair football, to encourage people to take part all year round.
Cllr Nigel Ayre, of City of York Council, said: “Celebrating Ability shines a light on the growing opportunities available within the city”. For more information about inclusive sports in York visit www.york.gov.uk/disabilitysport.
