Police incident on A1237
POLICE have resolved an incident on York's outer ring road near Netther Poppleton sparked by concerns for the safety of a woman.
North Yorkshire Police said officers were called to the A1237 at about 3.05pm after a member of the public reported concerns about a woman's safety near Millfield Lane.
Millfield Lane was subsequently shut on the Poppleton side and motorists were urged to avoid the area.
A force spokesman said the incident was resolved at just after 5.30pm 'without injury to any party.'
