A YOUNG drivers' skills event is to be held in the North of England for the first time.
The skills day, which will be held at Leeds East airport in Church Fenton, aims to give under-17s their first taste of motorway driving.
They will also be taught life-saving driving techniques, including skills taught to police drivers.
The half-day session will be held on Saturday, August 4, and is open to youngsters between the ages of ten and 17 who have had a minimum of two lessons with Young Driver Instruction.
