WHERE have all the birds gone?
Up to early summer we had visits from birds of all shapes and sizes: blackbirds, bluetits, finches, wood pigeons, dunnocks and wrens, and with swallows flying overhead. But now, with the heatwave, the only regular bird visitors to our bird bath are the sparrows and occasional wood pigeons.
It’s so strange. Where have they all gone?
