THE organiser of a musical show which is being staged in York on Sunday says it will provide a pleasant alternative to the Wimbledon men's tennis final and the World Cup final for those who aren't into sport.
The Bev Jones Music Company is performing Strictly Happy, featuring the Greatest Showman at 2.30 pm and 7.30pm at the Joseph Rowntree Theatre.
Organiser Lesley Jones said her late husband Bev would be laughing at the predicament as he loved both sports - as she did.
She said The Greatest Showman was the 2018 winner at The Classical Brits and was like heavy popular rock with a frantic dance routine -'a show to remember.' Tickets are £12.
She added: "It's too hot and you want an ice cream but to sit and watch a show at the same time, in a cool theatre and be entertained - what could be better?"
