HEAD teacher Andrew Galbraith is moving on after three years in post at Ebor Academy Filey.
In a letter of farewell to parents, Mr Galbraith, who leaves at the end of this term, praised the hard of work of staff and the achievements of students.
He said: “The school and the town has become very dear to my heart and I will leave with a great many memories of staff, students, parents and governors – past and present and also of life-long friendships."
During his tenure, the former Filey School has moved out of Special Measures and is no longer failing, according to its recent Ofsted report. Filey is part of York-based Ebor.
