I have just seen the story about a family not being happy about the Tipi Bar in the Minster Gardens (“Sisters’ dismay at bar near dad’s ashes”, July 9).
I also have a loved one buried in the gardens, actually right next to the Tipi Bar, and I think it is quite nice to be able to sit and have a coffee or even something a tad stronger while being so close to someone I love and miss.
I don’t think it is disrespectful to the church or anyone else and I will definitely be enjoying some chill-out time there this summer.
