FLORENCIA Clifford and Hugo Hildyard's Partisan restaurant and coffee house, in Micklegate, York, is garlanded in flowers and floral art for the Bloom! festival.

Their Partisan In Bloom exhibition opened on Tuesday and will run until August 15, complemented by a "live installation" of flowers across the frontage by floral stylist and interior designer Annalisa McCartney during the four-day festival.

Curated by Florencia and Hugo, the exhibition presents paintings by York artists Claire Belbin; Adam King; Julie Mitchell; Raphael Balme; Jerry Scott; Amy Rose Clyfan; Susan Dennis; Emily Sutton; Karen Turner; Mark Ibson; Robin Hildyard; Maude Smith, Rosie Hitchen and Isobel Neviazsky @ Bad Sauna.

These are complemented by photographs by Tessa Bunny, exquisite ceramic tiles by Claudia Rankin and festival garlands by York paper-cut installation artist Lu Mason.
