EAST Riding of Yorkshire Council’s Families Information Service Hub (FISH) has won a national award for the quality of its information, support and advice service.
The service was recently awarded the Families First Quality Award by the Family and Childcare Trust.
FISH provides a one-stop shop for information on local services for young people up to the age of 19, and those up to the age of 25 who have a special educational needs.
Council service manager, Bridget Bennett, said: “Over the years FISH has broadened its remit, but this confirms staff have maintained a high quality service of which we are very proud.”
