YORK-based fleet company Autohorn has secured £7.5 million to support its growth plans in a funding package from Yorkshire Bank.

Autohorn Fleet Services was established in 1995 and started with nine cars from its base in York. It now runs a fleet of more than 2,000 cars, serving business and individuals across the UK.

The business is aiming to enter new markets, including long term leasing contracts with large corporate customers and expanding its organisation partnerships, and adding to its 90-strong team.

Lee Underwood, managing director at Autohorn, said: “It’s a challenging time for the automotive industry as we try to navigate the uncertainty of Brexit and other factors that have an impact on our business. But standing still is not an option and we are grateful to the team at Yorkshire Bank who understand our market and our business goals enabling them to support us in the right way.”

Pete Sumners, corporate and structured finance director at Yorkshire Bank, added: “Autohorn is a great success story – growing from a local York service to a national fleet solutions business, with a wide range of customers across a number of industries.”
