EAST Riding of Yorkshire Council is issuing new guidance for people who have a river or stream on their property.
Updated guidance has recently been published by the Environment Agency for riparian owners, those who have a river, stream, watercourse or culvert running through or bordering their property.
Councillor Symon Fraser said: “By following the guidance, you can not only help to reduce the risk of flooding, but also play a part in preventing pollution and protecting wildlife.”
