MORE than £1 million of European funding has been awarded to help develop a new park in an East Riding seaside town.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has won almost £1.5 million of European Regional Development Fund money for Gypsey Race Park in Bridlington.Work has already started on the first phase of the new park, which will run alongside Gypsey Race stream with walking and cycling routes, play areas and wildlife areas. A planning decision on the second phase is due later this month.
