A HOUSEBUILDING company says it is not starting work on a city centre site it has had permission to build on since 2015.
Persimmon has planning permission for almost 200 apartments on Paragon Street, near the Barbican and Stay City aparthotel, but a spokesman has said activity on the land is not a sign of construction beginning. Instead, he said Persimmon had let the land to the neighbouring hotel for a short period whilst the hotel does maintenance.
