The winners of the 2017 Yorkshire's Favourite Pub title, The White Swan in Ampleforth
NO York pub has made it into the shortlist for the annual Yorkshire’ Favourite Pubs competition.
The 18 finalists include the Fairfax Arms, Gilling East near Ampleforth, the Plough Inn, Wombleton near Kirkbymoorside and the Marine Bar, Bridlington.
But the shortlisting panel gave the thumbs down to all the York pubs in nearly 800 nominations from the public.
The public are now being invited to vote for the winner.
The successful pub will be revealed during the Great Yorkshire Show. The competition is organised by Welcome to Yorkshire.
