FIREFIGHTERS came to the rescue yesterday after a man suffered a suspected angina attack on a boat on the River Ouse at Cawood, south of York.
A crew in a boat towed the boat upstream to Naburn, where an ambulance crew gave the man a precautionary check up, said a spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service.
The firefighters subsequently rescued a bull from the river after they came across it whilst returning from the previous incident.
They guided the animal towards the river bank, up the side and back into a field.
