EMERGENCY services saved a life in a midnight rescue in Selby.
Firefighters pulled a woman out of the River Ouse.
They used portable lights to illuminate her in the water, and rescue lines and a triple extension ladder to bring her safely to dry land.
Paramedics then took over and gave her medical treatment.
The emergency services were called out 16 minutes into yesterday morning. It is not known why the woman was in the river.
