A MAN was airlifted to hospital after he was found unconscious in a village near Selby.
Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) said it was called to Gateforth at about 7pm on Monday after the 58-year-old man was found.
Two ambulances and an air ambulance were sent to the scene.
A spokesman for YAS said: “It was unclear what had happened to him.
“He was taken to Leeds General Infirmary by air ambulance.”
No further details were available concerning the man’s current condition.
He has not been named by the emergency services.
