North Yorkshire County Record Office will throw open its doors to the public for Museums at Night on Thursday, May 17 from 6pm to 8.30pm.
The County Record Office’s Archives at Dusk gives people a rare chance to see behind the scenes and discover North Yorkshire’s historic records housed within the archive.
There will be falconry displays reflecting hunting in medieval times, and chance to see the Whitby Abbot’s Book which dates from the 12th to 16th centuries.
