YORK Outer MP Julian Sturdy has raised the 'scourge' of fly tipping at Westminster, calling for increases in both fines and anti-tipping education.
The Tory MP said fly tipping was a growing problem, with more than 1,500 incidents in York in the last year.
He called for access to waste and recycling centres to be expanded, saying charging for small items at the local tip could have a knock-on effect.
