POLICE in York say a man stole a £600 food mixer from a shop.
North Yorkshire Police said the man went into John Lewis at the Vangarde Centre on February 15 between 9am and 6pm, and claimed he had paid for a Bosch food mixer the previous day, then placed a handwritten 'paid for' sticker on the box.
When staff went to check if he had paid, he picked up the item from the shelf and left.
